MEGA Postage!!

Hey Everyone!!

I apologize for all the dust that has accumulated around here, I promise that I've been busy! There are all sorts of goodies that I have for you to see. First off, I'd like to give a shout out to all the wonderful artists that I was able to meet at the Totoro Forest Project auction, you were all very gracious and wonderful! I hope to see you all sometime in the future. Also a big thanks to Dice for the time he took to give me a moment of his hectic life at the auction. It was an adventure I'll never forget, that's for sure!! So everyone be sure to check out the pics and results of the auction on that link. I'm sure the book that was made for the show will be up for sale soon on the blog.

Other than doing self-promotion, I've been quite busy trying to help out with the Illest of Ill show this year with posters, set-up and all sorts of extras that we're having to really make the show as big as possible. I have a feeling that the show is really going to be the event of the year!

I also have some recent work on an illo that I've been working on as of late. This is some of the process so far. I plan to do two versions of this: one in acrylics and one in ink. We'll see how it turns out! Plus I have a little drawing I did a ways back thought I'd share it.

Take care for now kids! I've got some goodies for you here, I just need to figure out how I can link them to my blog.

i'm going to start calling you baby james jean. :) this looks awesome... great gesture in your figures, but for some reason the skeletons are my favorite part of the whole piece.

Hey Haylee, why do you have crazy colors on your color studies? You didn't use any of those colors for the final. Just wondering. The piece looks great by the way.

Thank-you to everyone.

Alejandro: For the crazy color study you see, I only did that to separate the shapes so I could see them more easily. It's also a flatting technique that James Jean uses for the same reason, along with quick selections in photoshop.
