Thorny & Bone

Hey everyone, just wanted to upload a quick sketch that I just did and a self-portrait done for Orlando's Megacon, which was amazing! Thank-you to all who came and chit-chatted, it was wonderful to finally put faces to the names!

Hope everyone enjoys the above drawing. Bone has completely turned my world upside down, and can not get enough of it. Normally I don't do fan art, but jeez louise, this is WAY TOO GOOD not to!

Cheers,

-H

Moment Before

Hey folks,
Wanted to show you a finished painting that will be a companion in my senior show come this spring. This has been quite the time for motivation as of late, yet you just have to keep truckin'! Hope you all enjoy.

Cheers,

Collaborating Is FUN.

As mentioned above, collaborating is fun. This was a mixed effort between Christina Ellis and myself. Since we're going to Megacon this coming March representing Ringling College, everyone was asked to do a "fight" scene. Just so we could completely dodge the copyright jazz, we decided to pick one of each others' characters and have them fighting one of our own! So my gun-toting lady here is a slight homage to Mr. Mignola, and the slightly agitated flame monster is Miss Ellis'.

That's all for now!

Cheers,

-H

Commissions & Save the Hodges

Hello folks--just a quick update with a recent commissioned piece that I can now share.

Also, I wanted to bring to all of your attention a very important auction right now to help benefit a great cause. Help the Hodges now has eBay auctions of great original animation work that will be displayed until the end of February. Spread the word!

Cheers,

-H

Balance

Hey folks, I'm in a bit of a jam and need your help. I've been putting together a storyboard project and do not know the portfolio level it should be shown in a movie format. Here is a frame that has just been drawn to convey the story idea.

Here is a much more touched up version that I would have in the final composite. What do you all think? Too much? Any feedback will help!

Cheers,

-H
