First Ride

 Hey there folks!

This painting was quite the doozy, yet all is well. This week the action is going to be downplayed a bit until Megacon. Which is actually tomorrow. Jeez time flies!

Also, just recently got myself wrapped up in Jeff Smith's Bone comic--and wow! Can not put this book down! So I bow down to you Mr. Smith, and all your magical ways of storytelling with line!

Dr. Jekyll or...Mr Hyde?

This year, I would rather like to be a Dr. Jekyll, yet the Hyde inside needs a little taming at times. This is a version of what Hyde would look like to me, and is a current project that I have been developing over the past holiday weeks. The idea goes along the lines of Hyde not being able to return to the form of Jekyll, therefore being forced to conform to a model citizen.

We'll see how well it goes. Enjoy.

Fashion fashion fashion

Hey folks,

Not a whole lot this week. Been really wrapped for time. Here is a recent fashion illustration just completed.

Also, I will be at the recruiting tables at the CTN-X Animation Expo in Burbank this coming weekend. It's going to be the San Diego Con of the Animation world, and it's awesome to be able to make part of it happen. So come on by to say hello!!

Work Smarter Not Harder

These are some of the set designs for my short film characters, yet I wish to explore them a little further. These past few weeks have been trying to think as these characters would and truly understand who they are. Playing creator is much more difficult than imagined.

Summer Update

It's been a few good weeks since school got out, and man--it feels good to relax again. I've kept myself pretty busy, emptying the library's shelves of their books, reading, writing, drawing and painting. Of course this is all preparation for the Illustration Academy, which is less than 23 days away now. I've been holding out on some work, a digital piece which is modeled after 2 fellow peers and some fresh work done today for Mother's Day. It's gonna be a double-wammy for my mom since it's going to be her birthday this month. Another show is coming in June at the D3 studio also, and hopefully I can get some more exposure. Oh, and I plan on going to Orlando next week to see the Norman Rockwell exhibition, it's going to be great. Give a shout-out for any of you who want to do some painting, I'm going to be around!
